2011 Is Time For Change

So a new year brings me once again making a resolution that I will write more often. Sadly the last time this blog saw a post was almost a year ago.

But things have changed. For starters I have Internet at home once again. Meaning anytime I feel the urge to post I can.

I really could have used Internet service back in May when I was laid up with a broken ankle. But oh well, the past is the past, it's time to move forward.

Though I haven't worked on The Bursting Mind, I have made a little progress over on The Galaxy Junkyard. It hasn't been a lot but any little thing is positive.

For my 25th birthday my sister bought me a Sony Bloggie. I still haven't managed to create any videos yet, but this is another item I'm working on.

Well 2011 I'm ready for your best shot, so let's get this party started.

Finish Something Already

I've started writing blog posts and have never finished them.

I've wrote squidoo lenses and not published them.

I've begun this post alone, three times and still haven't managed to finish it.

Then of course there are the videos I've created for YouTube and still haven't posted.

Well here is my first step in finishing something that I've started.

HOW??

How in the world can so many people just sit down, start writing, and end the day with some ten thousand words, while I can't even make a single blog post of one thousand characters?

One friend has already had two books published (with another on the way), and another friend has about four different drafts in the works. I know what genre I want to write in, who my characters are, what should happen, how it should happen, and yet I can't complete a single page.

There are writing contests that people attend on a weekly basis and they manage to write several thousand words in a single hour. How come this just seems to come so naturally to some and not to others?

I'm told I'm intelligent, and a good writer for that matter, but yet, when it comes time to sit and write or type in most cases, nothing, nada, zip, zero, comes to mind.

Even just rambling like this doesn't seem to be coming easily. Oh well, I guess I'll go work on some Squidoo lenses, at least there I feel like I've accomplished something.

Failed Again

Wow, I can't even manage to log in to post a stinking Youtube video for music video of the week; how sad.

On the plus side I have managed to create a couple of new lenses over at squidoo.com and would love it if you went and checked them out.

I know I've said it before, but I'm going to say it again, I will make a better attempt at updating more often. I really have an urge to write in my free time, which I have lots of, but I struggle with getting the words down, which leads to frustration followed by just giving it up and saying that I'll come back to it later.

Usually that just happens to be much later. Like almost a month in this case. Though this is better than the two or three months that I have been doing. See there is a positive note to all this.

For those keeping track, The Galaxy Junkyard is also not being updated like I had hoped and is still not been converted to video. Sorry. This one is more disappointing to me than you may think.

Well that's it for the time being, I know its not the greatest post, and that there are no images but at least it's something.

An Update To The Update

Wow time flies when you're having fun. Okay, not really. Cannot believe that it was February when I last posted here, and after reading that post am sad to say that I have failed on all aspects at that time.

The Galaxy Junkyard is still not really operating as I had once hoped, although I have actually made a few more posts there than here. My goal was to be running video blogs by now, on both sites, but just hasn't come to see light.

Squidoo has also become another member of the unfinished club. I have created 12 lenses, and a few even get a hit every once in awhile. I created one lens about Bender from Futurama that is getting big hits every so often, but I haven't quite figured out which tag it may be that is bringing in all the traffic.

I can honestly say it's not my personal life that has gotten in the way of moving forward on these projects. For the simple fact that I don't have one. Things just seem to sound a whole lot better in my head, and I can't seem to get the words into print, hence why I really wanted to convert these to video.

But I'm not completely out of the game. I am currently having a brainstorming session so I can get The Galaxy Junkyard running full time, some new Squidoo lenses, and will probably keep updates of my progress here. Plus I can vent over anything and everything I want here.

When I Grow Up

I'm twenty-two going on twenty-three and I just don't see myself growing up anytime soon. I own my own home and truck, and I have a state job, but those all the only signs of my adulthood.

I still depend greatly on my parents, both to provide me food and home essentials; things like paper towles, detergent, toilot paper, etc. I'm never doing things for myself because I can always find someone to do it for me, and for rare times I can't, well I just simply put it off.

Several times in my life I wanted to join the police academy, but it takes a lot of work just to fill out the forms, get the physical, take the B.A.T. I just can't seem to strive to do it. I don't know why because this is something I really want to do but for whatever reason I can't.

Life is spent watching cartoons, anime, reading comics, anything to do with science fiction, and oh yea, I collect Star Wars figures. The only reason I want kids is just so I can play with their toys, and watch cartoons without having to explain myself.

I want to grow up, but I guess I just don't know how. Though it is fun being childish.

Money Does Not Buy Happiness...

But it does buy everything that makes you happy. Money allows us to obtain products, tickets, and women.

Listen I know I'm going to take a lot of heat about women being on that list, but ladies you know it's the truth. If a guy doesn't have money, you don't date him. If this wasn't the case then you'd all be happy with a guy that took you out to Taco Bell to eat, you wouldn't get upset when we couldn't afford jewelry for your birthday, and so forth. If you couldn't guess, I'm currently single.

Happiness is also a feeling you get when the phone rings and you are one hundred percent sure it isn't a bill collector because you had the money to make all your payments. This is the happiness I hope to achieve in the next couple of months.

Money may not actually buy happiness itself, but for most, just having money makes you happy.

What A Day

I really do hate my job. I really only have one thing I like about my job and that reason may not be around for weeks at a time. Plus I have to spend twenty to thirty minutes being made fun of by my coworkers after my reason leaves.

That's pretty much how it was today. In fact I've spent the last two days working by myself because my coworker managed to catch something. Not like it really matters, because it's usually better when she's not around. Less mistakes are made, which means I don't have to stop every five minutes to answer the phone and make corrections.

It doesn't matter how quickly you do something, how accurately it's done, or how far you go out of your way to help someone out, because if you make one minor mistake, all the good is wiped out and the only thing that gets remembered is the mistake. Which sucks after you bust your ass all day to make people happy, and then in the last five minutes have to deal with a customer that you cannot ultimately help out because they waited to long to contact you to make changes to their submissions.

UPS doesn't show up until about two o'clock, the US post office makes a mistake and somehow it's my fault, and I've had to eat lunch several times out on the tailgate of my truck to cover my department. But yet I get no respect. No thank you, nothing, just why the hell did you screw up something that was minor and had nothing to do with me to begin with.

Have I mentioned that I really do hate my job.

Ka-BOOM

It's been a while but don't worry I'm back baby. Kinda. I've spent sometime away handling a few personal matters, but they're out of the way now, and I'm ready to start expressing myself again.

The first thing I'm going to do is put up a new video, because I have a feeling people are tired of seeing the same ones for the last month. And I do have a nice little collection going, which you would already know if you ever went to my YouTube site (http://www.youtube.com/CooterF).

I'm also preparing some actual text believe it or not, I do know how to write. Not very well but that's never stopped me before. So now you know what to expect, so prepare yourself, the boom is coming.

The Bursting Has Begun

This blog is going to be nothing but a stress reliever for me. I will talk about what I want, when I want, and about who I want. Don't like it, read another blog. I do plan on sharing some useful things, but this will be on rare occasions, so you should expect the sharing of stupidity from my coworkers, friends, family, and those people who are out and about.

Here's a little about me, I'm twenty-two years old, I own my own home and truck (which means I'm completely broke), and I work for the state of Floriduh. Yes I know that isn't the correct spelling, it's a joke people, laugh. I also enjoy science fiction and watching sports. This pretty much covers it.

Life isn't great, but I'll get over it, and so will you.
